Mr. Jaime Rosario Vargas

Jaime Rosario hails from the beautiful west coast town of Isabela, Puerto Rico. His educational journey started in 2012, when he majored in music education from the Interamerican University of San German, specializing in classical guitar and double bass. In 2014, he was recruited by the Dallas Independent School district to serve as T.G Terry Elementary's 5th grade Bilingual Science Teacher, where he served for 3 years. There, he learned about the importance of quality first instruction and cemented his passion for educating scholars in underserved communities. During his time at T.G Terry, Mr. Rosario served as the 5th Grade Team Lead, First Lego League Coach, Parent Teacher Organization secretary, Site Based Decision Making committee member, and chair of the Faculty Action Committee.

His leadership journey started in 2017, when obtain his masters in Urban School Leadership at Southern Methodist University. In 2018, he started his residency at Lenore Kirk Hall Elementary when he served for 4 years. During his time there, he served as the LPAC administrator, SPED administrator, testing coordinator, safety coordinator and operations manager. While serving Hall Elementary, Mr. Rosario cultivated a love of Transformational Leadership and continued the work of developing strong instructional practices and developing leaders. Amongst one of his proudest accomplishments while serving that campus, was leading the grant writing team, that through the Office of Transformation and Innovation, converted Lenore Kirk Hall into what it is today: Hall Personalized Learning Academy at Oak Cliff.

In 2022, Mr. Rosario moved to Maria Moreno STEAM Academy to continue his passion of serving scholars and the Oak Cliff community. There he helped facilitate the implementation of the Eureka and Amplify curriculum and continue to improve the systems that have made Maria Moreno a successful STEAM Academy.

Mr. Rosario is a fervent advocate of holistic education for his scholars and the continuous development of servant leaders. His interests include connecting through music, cultivating his curiosity through travel, empowering others through service, and being a perpetual learner.
